Spring Clean Your Life

Wish away the winter and celebrate arrival of spring to put an extra kick in your step.

Spring is when we start to emerge out of the slumber to signs of new life. The start of a new season helps us to refresh and recharge and strive for better wellbeing.

Eat more veg!

Try and incorporate more fresh, in-season fruits and vegetables into your daily diet. They’ll give you a boost of much needed vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Get out to farmer’s markets and choose seasonal and organic wherever possible.

Hydrate

Although our bodies are 60-70% water, many of us are dehydrated which can cause health issues and affect our brain’s overall performance. Proper hydration keeps skin glowing and satisfies the body so it’s a good idea to start your day with a couple of glasses of water, and continue drinking at least 6-8 cups of water a day.

Love the outdoors

Take some time out of your day to get outdoors. Being immersed in nature is known to have plenty of mental and physical health benefits, including boosting your vitamin D levels. It doesn’t need to be complicated; you can enjoy the healing benefits of nature just by taking a walk or going for a jog. It’s a good time to see the colours of spring make an appearance.

Exercise

Regular exercise not only helps keep you at an ideal weight and provide greater energy levels, but reduces stress, improves sleep, improves thinking ability and provides a more positive outlook. Spring is a good time to adopt a new exercise routine even just for 30 minutes a few times a week.
